The government dock in Rainy River is well over a hundred years old, and was once connected to a shipping yard for the old local saw mill. While it has seen a handful of transformations over the years, it’s central location often serves as a place for community gatherings. The big dock, as locals refer to it, is nestled at the end of Fourth Street and is a place that welcomes both residents and tourists.

I have vivid memories jumping off of the dock as a kid, heck so does my dad. So, as the saying goes… when in Rome, do as the Romans did, or when in Rainy River, do as the Rainy Riverites do!
